Creating Your Send Account

Updated this week

This guide will walk you through creating your account so you can start sending and receiving money globally in seconds.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • A Device that supports passkey

  • Access to a password manager (Google Password Manager, iCloud Keychain, 1p or similar)

Step 1: Access the Sign-Up Page

Navigate to the Send welcome page here. You'll see the tagline "Like Cash - Send and receive money globally in seconds" along with two options:

  • SIGN-IN - For existing users

  • SIGN-UP - For new users

Click the green SIGN-UP button to begin creating your account.

Step 2: Choose Your Sendtag

Your Sendtag is your unique username on Send - it's how others will find you and send you money.

  1. In the "Enter your desired Sendtag" field, type your preferred username

  2. Your Sendtag will appear in the format /yourname (for example: /send)

  3. Review the Privacy Policy and Terms (links are provided) and check the box to confirm "I agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms"

Sendtag Tips:

  • Choose something memorable and professional

  • Keep it simple - this is what you'll share with others

Step 3: Complete CAPTCHA Verification

For security purposes, Send uses Cloudflare to verify that you're human and not a bot.

  1. You'll see a dialog box that says "Verify you are human"

  2. Check the verification box

  3. Complete any additional verification steps if prompted

  4. Wait for the "Success!" message with a green checkmark

Once you are done, click the green CREATE ACCOUNT button.

Step 4: Save Your Passkey

Send uses modern passkey authentication instead of traditional passwords. Passkeys are more secure and convenient - you won't need to remember complex passwords or worry about them being stolen.

Note: Your Passkey = Your Key

Choosing Where to Save Your Passkey

You'll see a dialog that says "Choose where to save your passkey for send.app" with options:

Option 1: Google Password Manager (Recommended for Chrome users)

  • Your passkey will be securely stored in your Google account

  • Syncs across devices where you're signed into Google

Option 2: iCloud Keychain (Recommended for Safari users)

Option 3: Windows Hello or external security key

  • Use biometric authentication (fingerprint, face recognition)

  • Or use a physical security key
