How to Deposit
Step 1: Select Bank Transfer
Go to your dashboard
Click "+ Add Money"
Choose Bank Transfer
Step 2: Verify Your Identity (First Time Only)
You'll need to verify your identity once before your first bank transfer. This is required by financial regulations.
What you'll see:
✅ Enter Email Address
✅ Accept Terms of Service
✅ Verify Your Identity
Click "Continue Verification" After filling your email
Step 3: Complete Persona Verification
A new window opens (Persona handles verification for Send).
Important: Complete everything in one session. If you close the window, you'll need to start over.
You'll need:
Government ID (driver's license, passport, or national ID)
A selfie photo
Basic information (name, address, date of birth etc.)
Click "Begin verifying" to start.
Step 4: Fill Out Required Sections
Complete all three sections:
Basic information - Your name, address, date of birth
Government ID - Photo of your ID (front and back)
Selfie - Take a photo of yourself
Once all three are complete, click "Continue".
Step 5: Wait for Approval
Once approved, you're done with verification forever. You won't need to do this again.
Step 6: Set Up Your Transfer
For ACH:
Connect your bank account
Enter the amount you want to deposit
Confirm the transfer
Funds arrive in 1-3 business days
For Wire:
Send will show you bank details (account number, routing number, reference number)
Go to your bank and initiate a wire transfer
Important: Include the reference number or your transfer can't be matched
Funds arrive same day or next business day
What Happens to Your Money
Your bank sends USD → Send converts it to USDC (1 USD = 1 USDC) → Appears in your Send balance
USDC is a stablecoin that maintains the same value as USD, so $100 in = $100 USDC in your wallet.
Troubleshooting
- Verification rejected?
Make sure your ID is clear, not expired, and your selfie matches your ID photo. Try again with better lighting.
- Transfer taking too long?
ACH takes 1-3 business days (weekends don't count). Wires should arrive same or next business day. Contact support if it's been longer.
- Wire not showing up?
Check that you included the reference number. Without it, Send can't match your transfer to your account.
- Need to cancel?
ACH can usually be canceled within 1 hour. Wires cannot be canceled. Contact support immediately if needed.
When to use something else:
If you're depositing under $500, use a debit card or Apple Pay instead - they're instant and easier.
