Transfer cryptocurrency from any external wallet directly to your Send account. This guide covers everything you need to know about crypto deposits on Send.
What You Need
Before starting a crypto deposit:
An external crypto wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, etc.)
Supported crypto token on the Base Network
Your Send account logged in
Supported Cryptocurrencies
Send accepts the following tokens on Base Network only:
USDC - USD Coin
SEND - Send token
ETH - Ethereum
CBBTC - Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin
SPX - SPX token
WELL - Moonwell token
AERO - Aerodrome Finance
MORPHO - Morpho Protocol
MAMO - MAMO token
MASQ - MASQ token
LNOB - Latenightonbase token
⚠️ Critical: Only send tokens on the Base Network. Sending tokens on other networks (Ethereum mainnet, Polygon, etc.) will result in permanent loss of funds.
Step-by-Step Deposit Process
Step 1: Access the Deposit Page
Sign in to your Send account
Navigate to your dashboard (Home)
Look for the Cash Balance section
Click the green "+ Add Money" button
You'll see three deposit options
Step 2: Select Crypto Wallet
From the Deposit page, you'll see:
Crypto Wallet - "Deposit from an external wallet"
Apple Pay - "Debit card only"
Debit Card - "Quick deposits up to $500/week"
Click on "Crypto Wallet" to proceed with a crypto deposit.
Step 3: Get Your Deposit Address
On the "Deposit on Base" page, you'll see two ways to receive your deposit address:
Option 1: QR Code
A QR code is displayed under "Base Network"
The QR code is blurred with text "Click to reveal QR code"
Click anywhere on the QR code box to reveal it
Use your mobile wallet to scan the QR code
Option 2: Wallet Address
Below the QR code, you'll see "Wallet Address"
A long alphanumeric address is displayed (example:
0xd4B0F2c62203f...)Click the copy icon next to the address to copy it
Step 4: Review Important Warnings
Before depositing, you'll see a confirmation dialog: "Confirm External Deposit"
The dialog states:
"Please confirm you agree to the following before proceeding:"
"The external address is on the Base Network and can receive transfers from Smart Contracts"
"I have double checked that the tokens USDC, SEND, CC, ETH, CBBTC, SPX, WELL, AERO, MORPHO, EURC, MAMO, MASQ, LNOB are on Base Network."
"I understand that if I make any mistakes, there is no way to recover the funds."
Read these warnings carefully - they protect you from costly mistakes.
Click "I AGREE & PROCEED" only if you've verified everything.
