Step-by-Step Account Creation
Step 1: Start Account Creation
Visit send.cantonwallet.com on your mobile browser
On the Welcome screen, tap "Create Account"
You'll see the message: "Private by default. Sign up or log in with your
passkey."
Step 2: Choose Your Username
Enter your desired username in the "@ username" field
A green checkmark will appear when the username is available
Tap "Continue"
Step 3: Create Your Passkey
Review your username displayed on the "Create your Passkey" screen
Tap "Create Passkey"
Passkeys are a secure way to sign in without passwords. Your device will create a unique key that only you can use.
Step 4: Save Your Passkey
A system prompt will appear asking "Add a passkey?"
Choose where to save your passkey:
• iOS: Select "Save in Passwords" (iCloud Keychain)
• Android: Select "Save in Chrome" or "Google Password Manager"
Tap "Add Passkey"
Follow the prompts on your device to complete passkey creation
You'll see "Creating your passkey..." followed by "Passkey created!" once complete.
Step 5: Wait for Account Setup
After your passkey is created, you'll see "Creating your Canton party" while your wallet is being set up on the network.
Setting Up Essential Wallet Features
Once your account is created, a "Set Up Your Wallet" dialog will appear. We recommend enabling both features for the best experience.
Enable Automatic UTXO Merging
This feature consolidates multiple small holdings to lower transaction fees.
Tap "Enable Auto-Merge"
Review the benefits:
• Keeps your wallet running smoothly
• Happens automatically in the background
• You can turn it off anytime
Tap "Enable"
Wait for processing to complete
You'll see "All Set! Your wallet will stay organized automatically"
Enable Automatic Transfers
This feature allows you to automatically accept incoming transfers from
trusted parties.
Tap "Enable Transfers"
Review the benefits:
• Receive transfers automatically
• No manual confirmation needed
• You can turn it off anytime
Tap "Enable Pre-Approval"
You'll see "Changes Saved" once complete
Tap "Done" to finish setup
Setup Complete
You'll now see your Canton Wallet dashboard with:
Total Balance displayed at the top
Quick action buttons: Deposit, Trade, Send
Navigation tabs: Holdings, Activity, Rewards
Your available assets: CC, CUSD, USDCx
Your Canton Wallet is now ready to use!
