Before you start
You'll need your Send account and a government-issued ID. Set aside about five minutes.
Step 1: Open Cards
In the Send app, go to the Card tab.
Step 2: Start your application
Tap to request your card. You'll be taken through identity verification.
Step 3: Verify your identity
You'll be asked for:
Your full legal name
Date of birth
Address
Phone number
A photo of a government-issued ID
Complete this in one session. Progress isn't saved if you exit partway through, you'll need to start again.
This step is required by the card issuer and is separate from your Send account. Your Send account itself doesn't require documents.
Step 4: Wait for approval
Verification is usually quick. You'll be notified in the app when your card is ready.
Step 5: Your card is issued
Once approved, your card details appear in the Card tab: number, expiry and CVV.
Before you can spend, load funds onto the card. See Loading and Managing Your Card.
If something goes wrong
Verification failed or got stuck? Start the flow again from the beginning. Make sure your ID photo is sharp, uncropped and well lit.
Stuck waiting for approval? Give it a little time, then contact support through the app.
